Cask & Crate

Responsible drinking

Last updated: 30 October 2026

We sell spirits to the trade, and we take the responsibility that comes with it seriously.

1. Trade only, adults only

Cask and Crate works only with businesses: brand owners, importers, and licensed bars, restaurants and hotels. We do not sell to consumers, and our website and communications are intended for people aged 18 and over.

2. Responsible marketing

All marketing we create or approve for our brand partners in Denmark follows the guidelines of the Danish Alcohol Advertising Board (Alkoholreklamenævnet). In particular, our communications:

  • never target or feature people under 18, or appeal particularly to young people;
  • never link alcohol with driving, work performance, sporting success, or social or sexual success;
  • never encourage excessive or rapid drinking, or present abstinence or moderation negatively;
  • never suggest that alcohol has health benefits or solves personal problems;
  • present strength (ABV) factually, never as a selling point in itself.

3. Responsible serve

When we run tastings and staff training in venues, we promote measured serves, free drinking water, and attractive alcohol-free options. We support venues in following Danish law on serving alcohol, including the rules on serving people under 18 and those who are visibly intoxicated.

4. Samples and events

Samples are given only to trade professionals aged 18 and over, in sensible quantities and for evaluation. We never offer samples to anyone who is driving.

5. Where to find help

If you are worried about your own or someone else's drinking, Alkolinjen (run by Alkohol & Samfund) offers free, anonymous advice, including for relatives.

6. Contact

If you see Cask and Crate communications that you believe fall short of this policy, tell us at hello@caskandcrate.dk.
